What does Tokenella actually do?
Tokenella is a native Mac companion for your AI tools. It keeps live usage and agent activity at the edge of your screen, adds a local workspace for notes and captured text, and lets you move between macOS Spaces instantly. It works alongside your existing tools; it doesn’t replace them.
Which AI tools are supported?
Tokenella includes integrations for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, GLM, Grok, and OpenCode. Available usage windows and account information depend on what each tool exposes. Working-state detection is available for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Antigravity, and Grok.
Can I see my session and weekly limits?
Yes. Hover a provider’s icon in the side notch to see its available usage windows: current-session or hourly limits, weekly allowances, and model-specific limits where supported. Each bar shows the percentage used, percentage left, and reset time when the provider supplies it. The website uses fictional Claude and Codex readings so you can try the experience.
Is the dollar amount my actual bill?
No. It is the estimated API list-price value of the tokens you used, not your subscription charge or a bill from Tokenella. Historical token counts and value estimates come from local Claude Code and Codex history. Unsupported or unpriced models are identified rather than assigned an invented cost.
Does Tokenella upload my conversations or notes?
Your usage history, notes, attachments, and workspace are stored locally on your Mac. Tokenella reads the local history and account information exposed by your tools. Live usage and authentication may contact the relevant provider; your workspace is not uploaded to a Tokenella cloud service.
What does the $39.99 purchase include?
Tokenella for Mac is $39.99 as a one-time purchase, with no recurring Tokenella subscription. It covers one Mac at a time, all future Tokenella updates, and every app feature. Transfer to a new Mac through your purchase email. A 14-day refund policy applies. Your AI provider subscriptions and API usage are separate.
What Mac do I need? Does it require a hardware notch?
Tokenella requires macOS 26 or later. Apple silicon and Intel builds are undergoing release qualification. No hardware notch is needed: its own software notch can sit on any of the four edges of your screen. Capture, global shortcuts, and Spaces features may require Accessibility permission.
